CNF Workshop: We were missing all three folks whose revisions we were supposed to workshop today — Dean, McCormick and Cunningham — so I gave out the two remaining revisions (Fox + Holley) and those comments will be due Wednesday. The Cianfarano revision has been posted and I would like for you to respond to that one as well.

If you haven’t turned in a revision, you have until Monday. If they’re in by then, we’ll take a look at them next Wednesday, time permitting.

Screenwriting Workshop: Today we workshopped the revisions of Sara and Savannah. Jillian’s will be for next Wednesday, and that’ll be a wrap!

Fiction Workshop:

Public Speaking: Presentations cancelled today because of an event in the theater. Stay tuned for more details about the final set of presentations.

BatCat: READ THOSE FINALISTS. We’re going to start the discussion on the 22nd (one week from today). Friday will also be an in-class reading day for those who are not yet done. I know it can be a slog at times, but remember, it’s important since it will determine the words you’ll be looking at regularly for the rest of the semester!

7/8 Lit Arts:

7th Grade:

Survey: Fiction: Today we talked about “story as a power struggle.” Get the notes from a classmate if you were absent, or see me if you have questions.

The homework for next Wednesday is to fill out this sheet: Survey Fiction 1.15.14 – Story Dev II Worksheet. Fill out the sheet, analyzing either the story you’ve been developing mentally for the past week OR this piece of microfiction: Survey Fiction 1.15.14 – This is How… Microfiction. Your choice.
