Poetry Workshop: Today: Andrasko and McNulty. For Wednesday: comments and annotations for everything in the second packet.

Plan on an extra workshop Friday Block 2. Remember that revisions are due by 9 a.m. (even though there’s no school) Monday the 26th.

Short Fiction Workshop: Today we workshopped Alyx and Kat. Savannah and Jillian are for Wednesday, and that will conclude round 4. Remember that revisions are due Monday, June 2 via the blog (required for anyone who is not a senior).

Long Form Fiction Workshop: We are finishing round 5 workshops. I will accept round 6 starting wend.

Daily Prompt: Notebook check/reading. Then we brainstormed what would be your worst nightmare as a professional writer — if you were asked to write any of the following:

pamphlets

brochures

greeting cards

instruction manual

terms and conditions

novel-length anything

screenplay

a will

and some other stuff that I can’t remember off the top of my head.

Your job is to choose one of these “nightmare” categories, and then write an entry “in the style of” that category. Obviously, I’m not looking for a novel or screenplay, but a page-long excerpt would be fine. One suggestion: try to make it authentic (by consulting an authentic example).

Press: Staying after Wednesday and Thursday this week. Please check your schedules and see what you can do…

7/8 Lit Arts: Your rough draft of your final project are still due. Many of you still have overdue assignments. Please turn them in.

7th Grade:

Survey: Screenwriting: Today we went over the exam answers and the rest of the time was yours. A special thanks to those of you who were helping out with press stuff!!
