CNF Workshop: Today: Denny and Lepczyk. You turned in Bett and Kreitzburg; we’ll do those Wednesday.

For Wednesday: McClintock and Ohlund, annotations and comments. Some of these comments are getting sloppy; remember, checkmarks and smiley faces are usually only helpful when there are more substantive and thorough markings as well.

The schedule remains the same, pre- and post-break:

Monday, Nov. 23: The rest of the packet (Blackham + Holley)

Wednesday, Dec.2: No new assignment; we will finish the fourth rotation packet.

Thursday, Dec. 3: Fifth-round essays due on the blog by 8:45 a.m.

Screenwriting Workshop: Today we workshopped Olivia and Abby. We’ll finish out the round with Laura on Wednesday. Please make sure that you are staying up to date. Most of you are doing well, but there are a few that are falling behind a bit. Let’s make sure the next round is the best one.

Less Miserables: You sent me everything you’ve done so far. Then you worked on Scene (and/or Song) Four.

BatCat: If you can do something outside of class, please do. 🙂

Middle School Lit Arts: Turned in your haiku collection. Took a quiz on the Intro + Chapter 1 of The Tipping Point. I met with a couple of folks about their ghost stories; if I didn’t meet with you, I will next Monday.

For next Monday: Please read Chapter 2 in The Tipping Point. For Dec. 7 (!!): Please read Chapter 3.

Middle School: Spelling bee. Quiz on Friday. Watched “The After Hours.”

Survey: Poetry: Quiz on formal poetry. I gave out guidelines for the final formal poem (these are due next Monday) and the notecard final. Wednesday we will have some time in class for you to pick a poet.

Also for Wednesday: please read Chapter 8 in your textbook.

Survey: Fiction: Today you took a quiz on Paul’s Case and then added a few new terms to your notes: scene, summary, image-based characterization, and narrator-based characterization. We did Prompt 9 in class (Fiction 11.16.15 – Prompt 9, Characterization).

Please read Hemingway’s Hills Like White Elephants (pg. 335 in the Norton) for Wednesday. As always, there will be a quiz.
