CNF Workshop: Today: Bett/Ohlund/Denny. I gave you Miss Holley’s fifth-round piece, which is due Monday, along with Miss McClintock. That should finish the rotation.

If you are doing a sixth-round piece, it must be submitted to the blog by 8:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21. (Seriously. Earlier is better.) If you want to do a revision for the sixth round, OK, but I expect it to be a substantive one. Don’t just post something with one new graf or a couple of things moved around.

Speaking of substantive revisions, EVERYONE needs to have their final revisions posted to the blog by 8:45 a.m. Jan. 4. (That’s the day we get back from break.) As I’ve said before, I highly recommend choosing something that needs a fair amount of work — not the aforementioned “change-one-paragraph” essay.

Screenwriting Workshop: Today we workshopped Haley. Emmett is scheduled for Monday.

Several screenplays were handed out for after break. They are due in this order: Mallory (Jan. 4), Olivia (Jan. 6), Rhyan (Jan. 11), and Anthony (Jan. 13). Cecilia’s screenplay hasn’t been handed out yet, but it will be “floating” – so you should have that one prepared for Jan. 4 as well (once you get it).

If you have any questions or concerns, see me.

Less Miserables: Continued working on a finished first draft of all the scripts. Those need to be to me — either via hard copy or email — BEFORE class starts Friday.

BatCat Press: Pop-up shop started today. Seems like it was a very successful venture – we’ll continue to do it for the rest of the week at least. Thanks for you help in pulling it together; tell your friends and teachers.

Middle School:

Survey: Poetry: Presentations, Day Two. The remaining presentations are Vollmer and O’Neill; we’ll begin with those on Monday.

Remember: your persona poems are due on Monday. That’s your final writing assignment for this class before the break.

Please remember to bring an object for Show and Tell on Monday! Survey 12.21.15 – Show and Tell.

Survey: Fiction: Today you took a few general notes on the “conflict/crisis/resolution” story model, then talked about Kemper’s This is How I Remember It.

You did an in-class assignment: Fiction 12.14.15 – ICA, Single Sentence Story. If you were absent, you are expected to complete this assignment (don’t stress over it too much – give yourself 40 minutes to write and finish it within that time; this is what happened in class).

Please remember to bring an object for Show and Tell on Monday! Survey 12.21.15 – Show and Tell.
